New Quincy super Robot that draws

Quincy the artist robot Quincy the Robot, a mechanical assistant that teaches children to draw, spell and count in a fast, easy and fun way. How does Quincy work?
The Quincy Robot Artist is very easy to use and is clearly designed for easy use by children ages 4 and up. When you turn it on, the robot will say 'Turn on', then flex its arms left and right to show you range of motion and plan paper placement. Then she asks, “Can you help me install the pen? Press any button to continue when ready”. This is the process it follows every time you turn on Quincy. I'll share some suggestions later to save time and get the most out of your new Quincy Robot artist. Once the pen is inserted and secured in place with the retaining screw, you press any button and Quincy says 'ok, let's start our journey' and the LED ring around the camera /eye lights brighter in anticipation of scanning one of the 64 included cards. If you don't do anything for a while, it will announce "system sleeping" until a button is pressed to bring it back to life. Simply choose a card and hold it in front of Quincy and the fun begins!

Quincy will cheerfully greet you, such as "have a nice day" or "nice to see you again," then announce what the activity will be. The voice is professionally recorded and has a nice British accent. My daughter says “she looks like Peppa Pig!”. Throughout the process, Quincy will chat and give detailed instructions on each step of the drawing or story. I was really surprised at how well this part of the whole system is done. The robot will constantly praise the student and also encourage him.

What activities can Quincy do?

1. Teaching drawing: step by step with detailed instructions, tips.

2. spelling challenge: once the drawing is complete, it will ask for "one more challenge" and prompt the user to spell the word letter by letter and demonstrate how to write the word.

3. Interactive stories: they have sound effects and a detailed story, as well as drawing and math questions. I think these are the coolest part of the Quincy package and look forward to update packs for these! There are 4 included with the base package and each takes about 10 minutes.

Important Information

Setting up Quincy Artist Robot seems pretty straightforward at first, but it takes a bit of trial and error to get the pen set up correctly. If you just let the pen rest in the holder and lightly touch the page and clamp it in place, it won't be 'low' enough to draw clearly later. Prepare some scrap paper and experiment a bit to set it up correctly. It takes a few tries before the pen sits in the stand at the correct height - so give it a try. It's best to let the tip of the pen touch the paper, but press down on the pen a little so it's fairly firmly on the paper before securing it in place with the screw holder.
